still a no go game for me .

now that I am single again , I have a feeling I will be re doing my basement mancave .

I am sticking to Hardwire for everything gaming from now on

I tried working with the wifi by changing the channel and other things to try and speed it up ... I never had any luck with any of that .. Most likely just need a upgrade my router .

just tested my Hardwired connection .... gave up on the wifi BS

Please don't loose hope on building a Game PC ... Honestly now that I finally have a gaming rig (that could still stand some upgrades) I keep thinking to myself why did I not do this a long time ago ! Now keep in mind I will never give up my PS4 . mainly because if they make a good game for the ps4 I would much rather buy the disk and play it on that . PC mainly opens to the world to a new variety of game play . Games that the PS4 or Xbox don't want to spend time or money on ... EVEN in this age of buying DLC . The 2 games you are looking in to getting SW Battlefront and Division . I would definitely get for the PS4 . I will probably catch up with you on Division at some point . but my biggest title I am waiting for it "NO MANS SKY" that I am going to get for the PS4 The advantage to PC gaming is bringing back that feeling I had when I started gaming all together . The Only games I had for my PS2 was Socom . My children had others but I ONLY played SOCOM . ArmA started to bring that feel back , But Last night I played Insurgency for HOURS in a 16v16 room of old Socom maps along with some Insurgency maps in between . It reminds me of how much I SUCKED at socom then and still do to this day , But the community of people are there . Not the Run and gun crowd of console gaming , I am talking about the crowd that "while they are dead" are willing to watch you camp a spot for the good of the team and not trash talk you for it . If you fail , it is a" NICE TRY . we will get em this next round"... and at the end of most games you will see both side in the chat box type "gg" ... My Search for the elusive SOCOM feel has been fulfilled many times over with Insurgency SOCOM:INS . and I would strongly encourage any SOCOM junkie to really give it a go . it is a lot better then the counter strike version (I have played both at this point).

On weekends I would be down to join in

I am personally not a big fan of the maps in the game , but I like the Push mode ... i am excited to see more of the socom maps added in time ... i played on the night stalker map already and was really happy with it ... I went ahead and got CS:GO this weekend as well to play the socom maps on it too to kind of get prepared ... Readline plans on bringing Demolition , supression ,and one other mode(cant remember) Make sure ya go to the socom source Steam page to download the cross hairs to get some of the socom feel ... I didn't anticipate anyone picking up this title this soon ... I planed on testing it all out for ya and reporting back my findings .. but this is good as well , maybe we all can get in a game here soon

based on what I am seeing at this point .. they are not all socom maps , but there are 2 socom maps added to the list of maps when you join in a SOCOM INS server ... Nightstalker and fishhook .... both labeled as ALPHA testing ... I am searching for server passwords at this point .. EDIT : no server passwords .. only on one where the DEV is working on things ... you can easily find the socom servers by typing socom in the search for servers

OK ... Finally got the controller to work .. but not my PS4 controller ... it works with my logitec controller ... All I need to do now is figure out how to invert axis EDIT: joy_inverty "0" change the 0 to a 1 and it will invert axis ... .... All good now

So far no controller use at this point .... there is a way to get controller access , I am trying to figure it out at this point ... No there not all Socom Maps , but if you join a SOCOM INS server you play in 3rd person with Socom Crosshairs ... At this point there is no one in the server I am in so I am playing with BOTs but it is kind of fun at this point ... I am not going to recommend this at this point mainly because the lack of controller support , but this definitely has a socom feel to the game .. it is not a Run and gun like COD for damn sure ...

I picked up the game today ... Going to give it a test run and see how it goes ... The same guys that made the SOCOM stuff on CS:GO are doing stuff on this title as well ... Hopeing for the best ... it was only a $15 game so wont loose out to big if it turns out to be a flop

Come to find out you dont need to download any controller configuring program to use your controller on ArmA I was playing around with it yesterday and decided to plug my ps4 controller in ... it happened to become visible in the ArmA controller settings ... but All I could do was adjust the sensitivities in the Controller settings ... got a little frustrated and thought that was it ... But come to find out you can go in to the Keyboard settings and the Wireless Controller was visible on that , I was able to invert axis and set my controller how I wanted it for the game !!! This changes a lot of things for me ... I am sure some of you figured this out by now .. but I have not seen posts about it ... so I am posting this for those in the future that get in to PC games that you will not have to download something for the PS4 or Xbox controller , ArmA has the ability to auto recognize it for you and gives you access to adjust your controller !

I played 19 hours last weekend .. mainly online but still played some of the single player ... ArmA is the only game I play anymore .. it is my Go To game for sure ... The Adapt Missions Andy .. they are going to be a lot harder !!! just to give you a heads up ... Dont rage quit ... lol ... you are going to have to be the leader now and try to control retarded AI ... takes a while to get use to

Ya ... i finally played some online yesterday and hit a RPG server ... i didnt stay in it long ... had to play as a civilian and kept getting shot ... didnt see the point of it .... i played in sandbox rooms yesterday and it is rather frustrating that they disabled voice chat in most of them i went in to ... had people trying to talk to me but was never able to respond ...

I can understand Not being a Marketer .... I personally am not a very social guy .... I tried to get my project out to my friends to see if they could help in the process of marketing but that failed just as well ... Personally I am not a Programer by any means . I am a carpenter that use to build houses and now build shuffleboards . I just got in to website work by necessity . Basically the old clan I was in , the leader just quit gaming and shut the site down so that left a clan with nowhere to go . One of my friends from that clan had the know how to do but no money so I got the site and he walked me through setting up a phpbb2 forum .... next thing you know (about $300 worth of books later) I know what I know now . So truly I know I could learn a lot from you over time . But anyhow , that is why I believe I am holding on to this project longer then I probably should because I impressed myself with what I have done . Just hard to Let Go

I am going to take the weekend to re evaluate my project and its total worth to me because honestly if I cant get some of my old friends off of facebook to use the forum system then what it the probability of getting others to use it ... kind of slim to none . Now with PC gaming , most of them based on my experience are mainly smart enough to setup their own networking systems so there again my project has no use or benefit to anyone but me . I could right it off as a learning experience which I have done so many other times in the past with smaller projects . This project was not a small task though . it was a group of small and big projects compiled in to one . Actually building a functioning forum system was not a small task by any means but it was something I wanted to try .Then allow other clans build their own private forums aside from the public forums that where visible to all clans . Building the Chat box and Signature generator took time as well . There is a lot more to my project then what Balz came to Pre-Alpha test for me with The American Domination Game board ... Most of my project is still in Alpha testing and was anticipating having it ready for when H-Hour comes along and starts bringing back clans and clan activity . It is not looking like that is going to happen . So .. again .. I will evaluate my project worth to me over the weekend and if I even want to continue with it or use it for something else . will go from there
