  1. We sure have hads some purtty websites through the years. Nice work Kotaco. Interesting to see the development of your skills as a webmaster as well!
  2. Hahhaahaa I know she posted that a year ago Amanda, but Fuck You! Bwahahahahaha Its funny, cause its true. Sheesh those rules were pretty tough! I literally lulzd at the the word "punishment". Five nights a week!!! Those rules were pretty demanding. I bet the new rule list would be like... 1. Sign on once a year 2. See 1.
  3. Amazing how long we have all stuck it out. Heart all of you.
  4. Hell I have had three computers since we began. I may have something on the old harddrive on my desktop. Ill look around. Love the idea! Rocket
  5. Thanks Unit! That is awesome!! Changing sig now!
  6. I played one of the Star Wars versions. It was funny, little droids being blasted into lego bits. "Roger Roger"
  7. Is Turn10 owned by Microsoft? Or is it an arrangement like Bungie had?
  8. Time to ask for Gift cards to Canadian Gamestop for all occasions, to include your sons birthday
  9. Nice!!! I like it! Looks way better than any sig I have seen over there yet.
  10. Although its a long way off, I am pretty sure we are going to have a presence in this game. If it does come out the way David Sears is saying it is, then we are gonna be in for a treat. Kotaco and I have registered over their and have began participating in the discussion over there. Lots of good topics that some of our mXmbers should also weigh in on. Things like encumbrance and armor, GL's, auto side switching for terrorists/SFO's. This is supposed to be the spiritual successor to socom, so lets keep an eye on this game and those of us that played S2 should get involved over there as well, and see if it really is going to be the return to our style of gameplay. http://www.sofstudios.com/index.php?/index
  11. I hate Silverstone too. Stupid fucking corners in it. However, sack up Canadian. I am currently @ 2.23:4xx. Come get some. Also, you will be buying it when it comes out for PS4. It will be beautiful. This is just a demo on the PS3.
  12. More thoughts... Drug out the ole Driving Force GT. Huge difference, first lap out, and I am less than a second from gold. The steering input is everything. Easier to accelerate when the computer doesnt think you have the steering wheel full lock.
  13. Some more thoughts now that I have spent some time with the demo. I have gotten my lap down to 2.26.045. I am struggling to get a better lap as it is very difficult to get the power down in ANY kind of a turn. Watching the fastest Ghost replays, the drivers almost always shift up so the motor is not in the power band and you can control the car better under cornering and acceleration. I also feel like the physics are different from the third persoon view to the in car view. After the last little chicane there is a final corner that takes you to the straight. Its really two corners. In third person view, if I am in third, and matte the pedal to the floor, it will begin to get the car loose. Contrarily, if I take the same corner, same gear and matte the pedal in the in car view, the car stays planted. Anyone elses thoughts?
  14. Im a Gran Turismo mark. So my answer is biased. Of course I'm getting it, probably the special edition like I did last time. Still have the book and die-cast. However, I will only be buying it for PS4.
  15. I just watched a new video over on the kickstarter page.... "If our Kickstarter Campaign is successful, Seth Luisi has agreed to play the villain in H-Hour"~ David Sears Bahahahah that is sooo damn funny. Turban is gonna be one happy dude!
  16. Demo downloaded. Im nine seconds off the record after about 20 laps. I am still fiddling with the abs. The traction control is still wayyyy too intrusive when steering into a slide, causes the car to snap the other direction, and usually right off the track. I have it set to one to help with the ass end wanting to come out when you're hard on the pedal and just slightly turning. You still have to feather it though. Before you can compete for the GT Academy, you have to race a "shakedown" one lap tutorial (guess) and then you buy, of all things, an electric car as your first car, the Nissan Leaf. The AI is dumb as always and brakes too early for every turn. Breezing through the two event "Sunday Cup" is a snap. Next up is a 370Z Nissan in a two race "Clubman Cup" same as above, easy peezy. After that, its you, a semi prepped 370Z, and Silverstone Circuit. You can practice segments of the track, but the only one the competition is based on is the full lap.
  17. MISSION ACCOMPLISHED! They reached their goal and now are pushing for their stretch goals!! Still have four more days to pledge.
  18. I wanna donate 150 so I can play the beta...hmm. Anyone else pledging? They are so close! I really think this is as close as we are ever gonna get to an S2HD.
  19. [quote name='andy19' timestamp='1372429279' post='2848'] 75% of the way there with 9 days to go. I hope this gets funded. I am donating fifty.
  20. [quote name='ODIN' timestamp='1371826380' post='2842'] Er Ma Gerd!!!!! SERCOM! About f'n Time!!!!! They just added SUKMYTURBAN as the "Gamers Conscious"!!! http://www.kickstarter.com/projects/1687497632/h-hour-worlds-elite-0/posts/516292
  21. This game may actually be just that, after all it is Daniel Sears' project. The creative director for SOCOM 1 and 2. Here is the Kickstarter page.. http://www.kickstarter.com/projects/1687497632/h-hour-worlds-elite-0 What do you all think, should we help him out?
  22. I don't even know why they did 6 on the three. I am curious to see how the new physics engine is though. I did always feel that it held on to inertia too long. Sure I cooked the tires blasting down into a turn, but once speed scrubs off the tires grip again. In GT they are butter till 20ish mph. I hate that its for the PS3. A fucking wasted opportunity for Sony as well to have a premium title ready at release of the 4 to guarantee a successful launch.
  23. At 200 hundred yards you have to worry about wind-age and elevation, but only slightly. For wind-age you want to pay attention to what the range flags are doing. If they are at full flap then the wind is blowing pretty hard, but at 200y it may only need a click or two. Ive never shot an SKS before. But marksmanship principles for an assault rifle are standard. Adjust for said weapon. It takes time, and rounds down range to figure it out. Keep a range pad (probably an app for it) near ya, and record every shot. Notate wind conditions (something simple, I used a rectangle, triangle, and a pole) to notate high, medium , and null wind conditions. Also notate distance, wind-age and elevation settings, and of course shot placement. Sounds tedious, and it is, especially in the beginning, but it will help you learn what you're doing, and when you get to competitions, you will know what to do when you fire a great shot, and it clips dead right of the outer bull ring. Instead of panicking, you will calmly make your adjustment, based on youre previous experience, from doing it while practicing. I was super anal about my range notes. I was also 4th award Expert and Company high shooter every year, to include bootcamp. Call me if you have any questions, or if ya wanna go over any fundamentals. Be glad to help.
