  1. BalzOnYer4Head

    GTA V PS4

It looks fantastic. The density is almost frightening. I hope it isn't that thick when you are trying haul ass away from a cop or chase down a mission element. Either way day one willy. Will look forward to playing with everyone again. This time no exploits. That ruined it for me last time.
  2. I do not have a kid but can definitely see how this would pull on the old heart strings. Thanks for sharing that one!
  3. I see both sides of it. I would only want to run raids with clan/friends. Getting into a raid with some randoms who are either griefers or do not know what they are doing can be very frustrating when your time is limited for gaming. Investing an hour into the raid and then two of the randoms decide to leave or whatever, now you've wasted an hour of game play.    However I do understand that not everyone can get online at the same time as everyone else, and not being able to participate in a part of the game that drops the best loot would make one feel like they are not getting their monies worth.
  4. I hate those cars. The people who drive them have their noses so far in the air, I am sure because they are proud of their carbon footprint or whatever. I just keep expecting 35 clowns to come piling out of it.
  5. Do not know how this was not on my Radar, will have to pick it up.
  6. Wow. Just friggen wow. Those screenshots look fantastic.    I let you and Andy win....
  7. The game is very polished, for a Beta, only been booted once. Like Odie stated the graphics are wow. I do like the co-op aspect. I have played Crucible and it is your typical fantasy/future FPS. Not my cup of normal tea, but like all games, if I am playing with mXm ill be happy. I will absolutely prefer the co-op missions over the multiplayer, but will play both.
  8. This has been brought up before in previous versions of the site. Logistics has always been the nemesis. I am all for a gathering though. It is long overdue.   Now that a good protion of us are older with more stable positions in life, it may be the time to strike up the convo again.
  9. Sweet someone else that Andy can use as a brake in the turns.
  10. Are those old NASCAR race cars at the end of the video? Reminds me of Grid with the multi-discipline aspect. Looks fantastic.
  11. It definitely looks like a Buell. The teaser commercial reminds me of one of the scenes in The First Trek reboot from JJA where Kirk is riding his electro bike and we get our first glimpse of the Enterprise.
  12. I tried getting in to it when I was in Japan, just for something to read, just couldn't. The pages were super busy, and like Odin said, the affinity towards underaged girls just threw me weird.   Speed Racer and Voltron would be my exceptions.
  13. I am hearing the same, movie sucked, don't go watch it if you want good memories of Transformer movies. Only saving grace is Marky Mark is a way more believable action hero than Leblowf.   I will wait for that to hit TV, still watch it because Transformers.
  14. How about some Bill Watterson?
  15. It really has to be something for it to get me out to the theater. Ill be waiting for this one to hit HBO though. It looks like the same premise as that other "groundhog day" type movie with ...Gillenhall I think it was.
  16. Yikes man. Just happy you are ok and ride smart with the right gear. Speedy recovery sir.   Sucks such a great looking bike took such a knock as well. I would never ride just because of what you went through, but I can still appreciate a beautiful machine.
  17. After spending enough time to cap the level of my character (for the Alpha its been set to level 8) I wanted to throw down some impressions.    First off, for an Alpha, it is really polished. Graphics were next gen, frame rate was rock solid, servers were 100% stable.    There are three areas that you can explore in the Alpha. There is the Tower, Earth, and Crucible.   The Tower is a no weapon area where you can visit different NPC "vendors" that will allow you to buy new weapons, armor,  personal vehicles, and "outfits" (as Bold calls them), "drop ship", and customize/upgrade them all. You can also pick up messages left at the Postmaster, pick up challenges (known as a Bounty), and visit a vendor that decrypts special drops that you pick up in game. It also serves as a nice place to meet up with your squad, get organized, and then launch into whatever game type you wanna get your frag on in.   The Fire-team leader controls the action. If he launches into Crucible, all players in the Fire-team will follow suit with a countdown timer letting you know that shit is about to get real.    For the Alpha there is a Co-op/story-mode, which consists of Co-op/single player (although much easier and enjoyable with a buddy or four) where you can pick up missions in game via these Beacons that are spread throughout the map, follow a story-line, and join live events.   The one time I joined a Live Event I did it and I think I was the only one. I had this huge lumbering tank thing following me around blasting the bejesus out of me.   The other thing you can do is Crucible, aka multiplayer, aka PVP. The only game type available was Control, which is the classic control points game type. The more points you hold, the more points your team scores. Time limit is what settles the winner.    Favor falls upon those that execute teamwork. Since it is Bungie, you do have a personal shield and then health bar. You carry a primary, special, and heavy weapon. Ammo drops occur regularly off of fragged enemies for your primary weapon, and while in match the game randomly drops special and heavy equipment ammo. You also have a grenade and knife. Upgrades for all of the above are earned via progression, which is done of course by playing.    There are three classes that are available to choose from and you can play whatever class you like based on the game mode with a simple trip back to the Title Screen. I so far have only played with the Hunter class so I will only comment on its abilities.   The Hunter class starts you off with a full auto assault rifle as your primary, a shotgun as your special. I was unable to utilize a Heavy until I picked one up from a enemy drop in the co-op. It was a Rocket Launcher. The special and heavy weapons have VERY limited ammo, adding another variable to the strategy of the game. This is great because I believe it really stymies sniper camping. Mobility wise I had the ability of a double jump which can be upgraded to a triple jump. I noticed other classes having a jetpack.   Speaking of sniping, while playing alone I fooled around with this to see how difficult it was. K/D wise I had some of my best matches. Sniping is straight forward, no matter the distance or direction of movement, put the reticle on the target and pull the trigger. No leading necessary. There are definitely enough weapons in the game to where a player can have a load-out that suits their play-style. I also messed around with a heavy damage dealing revolver, and a semi-auto assault rifle. I also noticed just from playing that there are burst weapons, plasma weapons, smg type weapons, and some others.    You can definitely tell it is a Bungie game. However I want to be clear in stating that it isn't a rebadged Halo. The game has so may character class upgrades  as well as the above mentioned upgrades that you can spend 30 minutes just tending to your avatar and loadout after a couple of hours of game play.   Overall I was pleased. The game played well. Although not my preferred shooter style (fantasy FPS), it was so polished, with intuitive control layout, and enough of a focus on teamwork (indicated by the amount of bonus points awarded for kills around your Fireteam and objective) that I was impressed.    I could see us all picking this up just to have something to get us all back together gaming again, and hold us over until our style of games hit the market.   I didn't really have any complaints about it. I give it 4 teabags out of five. (not perfect because you know, fantasy FPS)
  18. mXm would like to welcome our newest member to the ranks.    Bold Edition   Bold has been hanging around the forums for quite some time now, and has expressed interest in joining our little family. In his interactions with us, he has done nothing but bring a positive air, sparked some great conversation on the forums, and just all around seems like mXm material.   With this being said, mXm Command Staff and Core Members discussed his request, some of us wanted to make sure we stuck to the age old mXm requirements of the recruitment process (me), and some of us wanted to make an exception. After considering everything, we have decided to skip the clan recruit tag and process, and make an exception on the requirement of playing with us before granting the tag.   I would like to be the first to congratulate and welcome Bold Edition to the family. Please join me in doing the same.   Aeterna Est Fides good sir!
  19. Fender flares and wide tires you say?
  20. The Crime Interventions are a mission of necessity. Intervene on a few crimes here and there, builds up my reputation bar, so I can run over some more pedestrians, which happens inadvertently as  I play through the game. Ignore that reputation bar, and let it slide to the negative side, and you'll spend way more time then you want to waving your gun at pedestrians so they will stop calling 911.
  21. Great OP. With the current availability of games for the PS4, gaming has taken a back seat to life, however with the new crop of games coming for end of this year and next, I do have my eyes set on a few titles.    Currently am playing Watchdogs. In an interesting spin for me on how I usually play open world games, I am not just blasting through the campaign story. The "side missions" I have found entertaining and rewarding all at once. Completing these missions unlock higher tier awards such as vehicles and weapons (love the spec ops mac 10(or whatever it is called in game)). As a result I have only gotten through the first mission of Act II in the Campaign. For the most part I have been ignoring the online aspect of the game (if any of you are hitting me up with challenges, text me or send me a FB message to let me know its you, and I will surely play)   Now for the future...BF:Hardline is on the radar but like Odie stated, BF4 was a supreme let down and I am now gun shy at this being a launch day purchase. Although, I am really missing having a great shooter to get on and frag with all my mXm homies. H-Hour can not get here fast enough. Hopefully Tom is having some luck at E3.   No Man's Sky has really peaked my interest as that sort of game is right up my alley, but I hold reservation on that too as what the game intends to do just seems so ambitious, not sure if it can be pulled off on a big scale.   Destiny may simply be purchased because I just want to get back together with the clan fragging the way we do. It does appear to be more of a team shooter than say a COD type shooter. However due to the developer, and their tendency for wacky guns, I have reservations about that as well.   The Division is certainly still on the list and will probably be a launch title for me. It is definitely mXm style of squad based gameplay, with a future tech spin on it.    There are a few racing games on the horizon for the PS4 but will be watching the news and reviews coming from these titles before making a purchase as I am a bit picky about my racing games.   Lastly, the space nerd in me simply adores Kerbal Space Program. It is on the PC (and I usually do not play pc games because of the sheer PITA factor) and that in itself sounds off for how much I like it. Building probes, rovers, satellites, space stations, and rockets to put all of that stuff into orbit or on to other celestial bodies is just pure NASA nerd fun for me. (It also comes with its pains.. Like building a lander for another planet, successfully getting it into low earth orbit (LEO), rendezvous and docking with your fuel station you earlier put into LEO, flying all the way to the planet, successfully entering its atmosphere and landing, only to find out that you did not put the ladder in the right spot and now your Kerbalnaut is stranded on said planet's surface and unable to get back in to the lander.) All you can do is laugh and facepalm. The mod community for it is very strong, and the mods are easy to install.   Whatever games come out, I can not wait for us to all get back together and do some regular fragging.
  22. Haha thanks guys! It was just another day, but the woman did make me feel special by going out and getting me some Bob Evans for breakfast. Here is to hoping I make it another successful orbit around the sun!
  23. That was indeed fun. I cold tell you were either just getting familiar with it, or there was a lag between what you told it to do and what happened in game for me, or both. Seemed like you picked up on what to do about halfway through the "race" and then you were just a tick behind getting the CTOS stuff to try and impede.
  24. I didn't even try online. Just wanted to get a feel for it. Played for maybe an hour. Haven't even taken over the first CTOS thing. The driving mechanics are taking a little getting used to. The vehicles seem a little light in the physics. Haven't really had a chance for gunplay yet, and I have been a bit shy about using it, as I am not wanting to come up on the police radar just yet.
