  5. http://www.gtplanet.net/forum/showthread.php?t=104303 Real easy, save to USB stick with a folder structure of PS3>SAVEDATA> Make sure you download the right one though. It's different if you have the download version or the BD version. And make sure you back up your old game save. I used a different USB stick to backup, just in case. I downloaded the one that says "Spec III - Watevaman - http://www.gtplanet.net/forum/showpo...&postcount=608 - All 74 cars, 2m credits"
  6. I now have every car in the game, thanks to the GT Planet forums. A bit of cheating, but I think at this point it's okay to do. I had 2 races left in the S-Class races before I beat the game, and didn't feel like running 1000 races back to back to get that F1 car. Speaking of the F1 car, holy shit. Wow. Makes everything else seem like a Fiat Panda. I was flying past other Ferrari's, GT Tuned Corvettes, Vipers, etc. All the fast cars in the game just seemed dull after driving the Ferrari F1 2007. Especially with the cockpit view, it just adds to the sense of speed.
  7. I downloaded the demo and played through it once real quick as a cop. It wasn't my thing, I just didn't like the handling of the cars. Maybe if I play it a little more it'll be better, but as of now, that 9.0 rating just isn't reflective of what I experienced.
  8. Chimney's clean and 2 cords of wood are on the way. Looks like we'll be nice and warm this winter.

  9. Europeans are playing GT5 already! Those cheeky bastards! Trophies A bit more release info First leaked gameplay video Holy shit I'm excited!
  10. :P Yes! My icon is still here.
  11. [quote name='BalzOnYer4Head' timestamp='1289145138' post='391'] I agree, for as awesome as that car could of been, iit was set up all wrong, definitely needed max angle on the spoiler and a little softer rear end set up so it would grip better. They should really have a seperate lap time challenge to allow for setups. Bet I could easily knock three or four seconds of the Daytona time with the Corvette, if I could set it up. I've run 1:03 with the Vette on the High Speed Ring with it tuned. But it keeps it more even not allowing any of that, and restricting tires to S2's all around. It would be nice to be able to tune the suspension/transmission/downforce, etc, just not let you add power/remove weight. Restrict the car rating but allow all other tuning.
  12. Programming will always have bugs, glitches, things that happen that just aren't right. No program can be perfect. The issues are multiplied tenfold when trying to synchronize between two or more people online. Things will happen that don't make sense, but are just an affect of small errors in programming. That's what I blame it on. Maybe on the other players' screen, they hit you real hard, not just enough to take your mirror off. Maybe when you hit him, he saw you hit him lightly. It happens.
  13. Updated. Sold my stock Viper and Ford GT LM Spec II Test Car. That Ford is just to insane to handle. Even with traction control on it spins the wheels in 3rd gear around the S-bends of Highspeed Ring. Ridiculous. I'm happy enough without it. It's definitely a beast of a car though.
  14. I don't always beat my wife, but when I do, I drink Dos Equis.
  15. Just checking the EB Games site, and it seems as though they think GT5 will be out December 7th (my original guess at the release date after they announced the delay). I'm REALLY hoping that EB knows something everyone else doesn't. http://www.gamestop.ca/Catalog/ProductDetails.aspx?product_id=253877
  16. The woman I'm marrying just gave me a wedgie....

  17. Looks like I need to download the demo...
  18. UPDATE!!!! With a bit of luck, we might even have the game before Christmas!
  19. Happy Birthday Geoff H. Hope it's a good one.

  20. [quote name='BalzOnYer4Head' timestamp='1288572919' post='367'] That is precisely why I use TPV. As amazingly awesome as sim racers have become, they still cant give me that feel of the car breaking loose that you get from being in the car. I also cant help feeling that the in car view is a little more forgiving. I stll cant run as fast a lap as I can in TPV, but it seems to me like the in car view is harder to break loose. I don't think it's more forgiving, I believe it's just more natural to view from inside the car, so you run better. I think with the head movement they've incorporated in GT5, it'll help with the feel of the car a lot more. Although the wheel definitely helps a lot too.
  21. [quote name='BalzOnYer4Head' timestamp='1288509003' post='363'] Holy crap I almost bit off more than I could chew by sayin I could beat it with the Dual Shock, but, after 5 straight hours with some breaks in between, I finally fucking did it. That car and track pisses me off. The slightest little graze of the wall, and lap invalidated, give it ANY gas whilst in a turn and it spins out. I didnt beat it by much, but I beat it. wow that was a close one! 0.037 seconds faster! You'll have no problem beating the F430. You'll be setting a time for me to go try to beat.
  22. [quote name='BalzOnYer4Head' timestamp='1288488026' post='362'] What view you use? me = Third person I use the roof cam. I find it lets me get a sense of where the car is a little better, and still gives me a good view of the track ahead. The only thing is, without the wheel I can't tell when the back end is loose until it's too late.
  23. [quote name='BalzOnYer4Head' timestamp='1288481074' post='358'] I tried using the right analog as a means to shift, but I kept having a problem with the stick snapping back and shifting down again. So I went back to my tried and true. I thought about that issue when I was using it, but I never actually had it happen yet. I guess I'm not an overenthusiastic shifter. I'm also working on a basic web app to submit lap times...hopefully it'll be up and going shortly, instead of posting the times here in separate posts where it can be disorganized.
  24. Ferrari F430 Daytona Road Course All assists off, professional physics, manual gearbox. 1:59.417 Terrible time, but I was having a hell of a time trying to keep the car stable on that course for some reason. I'll run some more laps later but I wanted to get a new track/car down. Edit: Ran laps again putting auto gearbox and TC to 2, just to see what the difference would be, and I ran a 1:55.526. The TC definitely makes a huge difference! On a side note, I think I've found a control scheme that helps me use the manual gearbox much easier with the controller. I use the right analog stick and push up and down for gear changes, instead of using L1 and R1.
  25. Halloween shindiggery tonight in Chesterville!
