So what's everyone's steam name? You know, so we can be friends Mine's hindey19

I think I'm good for RAM. I thought I only had 4GB but it turns out I have 6. I think I'll be able to get away with just a better video card.
-
Well, here's my current feeble system, but it runs Arma (somehow). AMD Athlon II X2 215 (dual core 2.7ghz) 6GB DDR2 RAM (I had actually forgot I added another 2GB last year) Radeon HD 5670 512MB GDDR5 GPU (400mhz core, 500mhz memory)

So I just finished the Bootcamp missions. Pretty solid, I'm liking this. Need to get used to the controls, and which buttons do what when I either toggle or hold them. What is evident though is I need more RAM, a better video card, and maybe better CPU. I can play the standard graphic settings, but it's still only 30FPS and drops more often than should be tolerable. I think once I amalgamate my two PC's (one's an HTPC hooked up to my TV that doesn't get a ton of use) I should be good to go, minus the GPU.

I've seen quite a few of dslyecxi's videos. Knows what he's doing.

Bold - that PC is definitely a powerhouse. Should be top notch for quite a while. Balz - yes, 64 bit. I have 2 computers, so if I combine them I should be able to have a solid gaming rig. At worst would need to upgrade my GPU. And I think my hdd is going on one, so it may come to that sooner rather than laterlater.

Mine are just slightly under yours, minus the 20gb of ram. I should be able to pay on low/medium then.
-
What are you pc specs? I've read so many different minimum specs, but most were from when it was in beta. Wondering if I'll actually have to get a better PC.

So I just actually watched the trailer. Looks intense! But of course it's a trailer, it has to. I'm not a Star wars geek or anything, but I could see myself getting this. I loved Rogue Squadron for N64, which I think is the last star wars game I owned.

I've only ever seen the original. Once.

Quality looked good to me. I've never had interactions like that online before, although I've only ever really playplayeder with other mXm.

May 8th announcement If it's Friday May 8th in the UK, it'll most likely be Tuesday May 12th here. I think it's always been scheduled to release in the UK before North America.

Here's the latest version of the game on PS4.

I still stand by my previous statement that 3rd person weather effects look more realistic in Project CARS, and first person looks more realistic in Drive Club. Both games look great overall though, and in absolutely zero way does PCars look cartoonish.
-
I don't know what you guys are saying, but I think I need to get a better CPU and video card.
-
It's okay Balz, Chad just doesn't want to admit he invested in the wrong racing game :-P

This is a cartoon racing game This is Project CARS

Here's a good video showing a comparison of Driveclub's weather effects to those of Projects CARS. Personally, I feel like Driveclub looks better in first person (the rain effects on the windshield and mask look more realistic) while Project CARS looks better in a 3rd person view (the misting of the water behind the car is much more realistic)

Can't wait for this game. #onemoremonth

I'm in the same boat. Decent GPU, but bad CPU and old mobomobo, so I'd need to update. Then I'd want faster RAM, then a better GPU. Although I can do a decent upgrade for ~$400 CDN (about 250 US nowadays) its not worth it for 1 game.
-
I would imagine so, it being a Steam game.
-
Congratulations srans!

Project CARS: Delayed to Perfection (not another delay, just read it)

Definitely looks like an awesome game. Just checked it out on System Requirements Lab and looks like I can play it with my existing PC at minimum settings (but where's the fun in that?)
