Hello oot! I hear ya on SOCOM but it is slowing pulling me in. The camera angle prevents it from me loving it. I hope they patch that and pull the camera back or at least give you the option of switching shoulder views. A part of me wants to hop on Confrontation because I never gave the DLC a fair chance. Barely played that but it would be great to shoot it up with you again. O~

I have 2 copies pre-ordered and bought. I am not going to judge a game fully off of a beta. If that was the case, I NEVER would have bought Confrontation. Plus, I want to play abandonded and see how the classic map feels because you KNOW DLC and classic game modes like Demolition will appear in updates and DLC... Zipper cant be THAT stupid. We have to support the game, I mean... at the end of the day ZIPPER did create the greatest game of all time. If people buy it and it sucks and the online community stops playing it, they CANT sell DLC and push the series forward. So in my opinion, the best way to support a SOCOMII HD is to buy this game, then if it sucks do not play it online and trade it in. If nobody buys the game period, maybe we may never see a tru SOCOM game again. what are your thoughts?

Tomb Raider is my favorite series. It blew me away when the first one came out. The isolationism and exploration was unmmatched. If anyone wants to get into it, Tomb Raider Trilogy just came our with the re-make of the first game "Anniversary", and the latest "Underworld" You wont be disappointed.

They are re-releasing Resident Evil 4 and Code Veronica X in HD on the PS3... thats sweet! I think RE4 was the best in the series and glad to see it coming to ps3 in HD.

so curious question... I am buying socom and will not prematurely trade it in if I don't like it in hopes they listen to their community, or release old maps etc. With that said, will people be going back to COD? I really enjoyed the DLC maps and more are on the way. Even after playing the Socom beta and playing Black Ops it just feels smooth and shall I say it? GOOD! I don't want to give up so soon knowing Zipper can make or break this game with updates but its a long way off. So as a clan what shooter is going to be home base if SOCOM turns to shit? Ill probably be on COD. O~

You know... Why couldnt they have just made a tru SOCOM sequal?!!? If I recall, SOCOM2 DID have respawn rooms and they could have made the new game with perks and level ups etc IN THOSE ROOMS while keeping the core gameplay mechanic the same... plus, only 4 game modes?!?!?!! I could give to sh*ts about rank... You cant really blame Zipper for "commercializing" the game to appeal to the dumming down of FPS gamers who want to run n gun all day and shoot people brainlessly. Unfortunately, we are in the minority who get an adrenaline rush of sitting in a bush being the only one left while time is running out. Even when I was in the dead room it was awesome to talk with your friends and watch the drama unfold. ahh.. the good old days.

ummm... hard to socialize when they took all the lobbies out and the pre-game chat etc... how dumb was that? Thats what made the SOCOM community different from every other game. Its on par with COD on that aspect where its a party system blah blah... bring back the Server lobbies and game lobbies. fail on that part.

Impressive Ballz... sorry for my lack of auto knowledge, but what does the VW diesel get in gas mileage? I watched the youtube vids of you fixing the hood. Alot of hard work... how many hours total have you put into the car so far?

I played it for the first time at length last night and considering there were only 2 game modes, I can see myself having fun with classic style play. This is a beta, and for it being a beta I am impressed. Not many betas have felt this smooth. As far as actual gameplay, the camera isnt a gamebreaker, but I do hear zipper has plans of moving it back a bit. If so great. I also miss the ability to switch shoulder views like in confrontation. If you can do it I haven't figured it out yet. The guns feel a little stiff in a sense that no recoil is felt making the guns feel sterile. Again, not a deal breaker but I do like the feel of the guns in COD with the sense of power. I am still getting used to the grenades... so far they feel like I am throwing random turds at people with no accuracy. 0.o Graphics. Impressive. Nice detail in the maps, however, these 2 maps are not memorable. I can still envision every single socom 1&2 map with great nostalgia. These maps while cool, seem a tad forgettable. I will be buying this day 1 and plan on making it my main shooter. I cant wait to jump on Abandoned and see how they do with classic maps, because you KNOW more will be coming with map packs. I have faith in zipper doing a 2classic, 2new map packs for 14.99 or 9.99 etc. So far I give the beta an 8/10. Its a beta and will not pass any final judgement until a week after release when all the maps have been played. What are your thoughts? O~

Congrats Ballz. I have been cig free for 1 year and 5 months... once you get past the 3-6 week mark it gets tons easier! Good to hear that. Its tough as hell to kick, but the way I did it is had a wisdom tooth pulled. I quit for 3 days from it and just never went back. save alot of $$$$ too!!!!
