PAYDAY 2

BOLD Edition

Recommended Posts

Nice find. I didn't realize this game had been out this long. Like I mentioned in the shoutbox, it is definitely fun. It also really requires teamwork for the online jobs. I guess they make the bots extra stupid when you play offline, because your bots arent that bright either and you have limited control of them. I was able to do a few missions on my own and it was doable.

Soon as I got online with a four person crew, the difficulty got ramped up for sure. When Andy and I tried to do it on our own, it was way more difficult. I could blunder through (being a noob) the offline jobs, but Andy and I definitely needed to coordinate when we jumped online.

Looking forward to playing more of this with more mXm!

I look forward to this with everyone; I downloaded it and went through what i'm guessing is some tutorial action. There is a "Day One" heist/mission I hadn't done, because I didn't want to offline anything. Is it best to try to do that for one or two missions before getting online with a group? Also, I didn't see an easy way to invite online friends to the game.

I haven't done any of the offline missions yet, I just did the quick little tutorial then hopped right into online with Balz.

I think it would be good to do a few missions offline just to get some money so you can buy different weapons/equipment.  The stuff you start off with is a little lacking in the power department.

Online is where it is at. The pay outs are bigger, and as a lower level character you can get in on a higher level game and rack up the cash and exp. Plus you learn little tricks to make the job easier next time. I am def having fun with it and am just waiting for my mic to charge before I hop on.

Sorry I had to pass on your invite, man; I saw it when I was getting out of GTA and had to head into the office. Hope to catch you soon though.

Its not real friendly like that. I usually make a room, set it to friends only, and send out invites.

If you change the map to show friends only, it should then only show you jobs that are empty or people on your friends list are in. Then you simply can just drop in to our job in progress.

Solid; I will give that a shot.

So I downloaded this game and I'm missing something. I just tried it for the first time by doing offline missions. The missions take so long. It takes like 5 min to open a safe with the drill that keeps stopping. I guess practice will help but I'm thinking online would be way more fun.

Yeah it can get tedious like that. There are only x amount of varied missions so you have to play through the same 11 or whatever over and over. The PC version has more variety and all the DLC for it that I think would help. Hopefully they'll port some of that over to PS4 in the future, but I feel the PC is their priority at the moment.

The online is where it is at. The single player is very tedious. When you get online you can really have fun with it as there are many ways in which to pull a job off. You can go in "stealth", or guns a blazin, and with the different player classes, you can combine them. When you start getting up there in rank and start doing Overkill missions, that is where the real fun begins. Huge payouts, very difficult the AI, especially with the "bulldozers" (think juggernauts fro COD) show up.

Team work is essential and it really is the only way to be successful in the higher payout missions.

Takes a coordinated effort to bring a Bulldozer down. Usually now Srans will pop an ECM Jammer which apparently emits some sort of sound into the AI's headsets and stops em in their tracks. The Bulldozer will usually take his helmet off when that occurs. You can also use the trip mines against them, combined with well placed headshots with highpowered weapons.

Was working with a good crew last night, Srans and I with some randoms. Big missions, BIG pay outs and HUGE EXP. I looked to see if you were on Flyers. We will play again for sure.
