Induced_Horizon
If you player Sniper Elite II .. Don't use that bad experience ruin your chance to play Sniper Elite III ... I have played a few hours of the single player and it is surprisingly good ... Not really any story line to the game worth mentioning ... The Game play is good though ... the AI is not retarded in this game (to a point ). they will come after you and try to flank you so you do need to watch your 6 at all times but you can use choke points and they will filter in to your death trap no questions asked so to say .. It is not all sniping as well , you do get an assault weapon for close quarter combat .. you also can use trip wires to cover your 6 if you are in a pinch . Hit detection in a lot better then the last game . This game will not appeal to everyone but for those of you that like games that are not so much run and gun this might be a good game to give a try .. I personally like games that have more realism then science-fiction
[mXm] BOLD Edition
Enemy at the Gates! Brian, what is the scale of the maps in the game? I remember thinking while playing a demo at PAX that they felt fairly small considering sniping was a main focus of gameplay. Can you shed some light on that? [mXm] 404 Not Found
Loooooove ENEMY AT THE GATES! I own that movie. Considering the PS4 is still in its Infancy, I can see maybe picking this game up to kill some time. I will be picking up The Last of Us next Tuesday. The online MP on that Brian might appeal to you as its a lot slower paced and you have to build your weapons with parts you find around the map. For ANYONE who has yet to play TLOU, the Remaster edition comes out next Tuesday and is worth your 50 bucks easily! O~
[mXm] andy19
I got Sniper Elite V2 on Steam when it was free for that one day. Finally got a decent enough video card to play it (same card that blue screened on my a year ago works fine now...wtf) I actually like V2 so far. Not terrible far into the game, but I love the kill cams on it, seeing the bone get crushed by the bullet. Very unique. I also love Enemy at the Gates. Been a big fan of long distance precision shooting, so this is right up my alley.
[mXm] BalzOnYer4Head
Do not know how this was not on my Radar, will have to pick it up.
[mXm] andy19
Trailer looks good, but it's getting average reviews on metacritic. http://youtu.be/VvEgJNhzkDQ
Induced_Horizon
Some of the maps are a bit tight but most maps so far open up rather big . it is kind of like tomb Raider size maps for those who played that ... you get some tight quarters but then opens up to some really big sections .. you can do stealth kills and you can go loud . either or .. they say you can beat most levers stealth due to the fact that you can time your fire with other noises on the map it covers your sound . you do have a silenced pistol as well This is definitely more my speed of game play ... slow and always thinking of your next move ... you are able to use binoculars to tag enemies which helps when going from cover to cover .... My biggest beef is the controller configuration .. I never looked in to seeing if I could change the button layout but I will look in to that this weekend ... seeing how I am only a weekend gamer I have not been able to play more yet but I am really looking forward to Saturday afternoon to get some more game time in .. I have my twitch set up so if someone wanted to see some game play I can do a live feed or something while in a chat ... Just keep in mind it is slow play unless you go in loud and proud .... [mXm] andy19
they say you can beat most levers stealth due to the fact that you can time your fire with other noises on the map it covers your sound That's awesome. How well does it work?
Induced_Horizon
it works good only when you are around something noisy such as you see in that youtube video ... you can break a generator and it will start making popping noises and then you have to be close to it when you take your shots Keep in mind when you are killing , you need to start high and work down for the most part .. sentries and sniper towers get an overview of the area ... so they need to be the first to go .. then you can move your way in to the battles after tagging all the enemy you can see and take them out one by one as they move away from others ... remember to hide bodies and kill in non crowded places so you can retrieve bodies to move them . Induced_Horizon
Well beat the story mode ... 16 hours of game play ... The story really never got better . but I must say the game play was good ... really good ... I have played better but have played worse also ... I would rate this game 3.8 of
[mXm] andy19
I've acquired Sniper Elite 3 on the PC and will hopefully be installing and playing it a bit tonight. Hopefully my video card can do it justice.
Induced_Horizon
Hope you enjoy it as well as I have ,,, keep note though ... there are only 8 missions but the missions turn out to be really long .... make sure you have atleast 1 hour or more if you want to do a missions from start to finish .... I dont like stopping in the middle of a mission then coming back to it ... just a personal preference of mine
