Judgement Day

That is one mean pistol. I firmly agree with arming the one you care about. A girl here in Tampa just made news by blasting an intruder who barged into her house and started beating on her fiance. 4 shots to the chest, Tampa PD said its a clean shoot, one bad guy in the morgue.

In NYC, she would of been arrested for having a gun in the city limits.

Also, I would like you Cobby to post up a nice couple of pics of this replica Mal pistol. Thanks!

@Andy: as much as i appreciate the fact that you jump to conclusions; fact of the matter is i own not one, but two tripods; and my Nikon has a wireless IR remote (that cost me $15) that requires it to be used from the FRONT of the camera (shes standing slightly off frame)

I think the point I'm really trying to get at is the whole loaded weapon with finger on the trigger part. Unless you're not overly worried about accidentally shooting your camera, or anything else inside your home.

Taurus Revolvers have a key-lock built into the hammer. a turn of the specialized key prevents the hammer from going back, as well as the trigger being pulled. However, it was ready-to-fire. The hammer was down[/], therefore i would have to put approximately 8 pounds of pressure on the trigger* to fire it. Just resting my finger on the trigger would not fire it. lastly, i handle loaded firearms with "one in the pipe" in my house all the time. All of my pistols are ready to fire (hammer half cocked).

Both my wife and I handle these pistols on a daily basis, her for the last 2 years, myself for the last 5; no unintended holes in any of the 3 homes I've resided in; I was raised in a family of military and law enforcement personnel, I know how to handle, carry, operate, and clean all of my firearms. I never point my firearms (loaded or not) at any living being i don't intend to kill, I've only had that experience twice in my life (pointing a loaded weapon at a living target), in self defense mind you; neither time have i had to discharge my weapon. Now my bladed weapons however, i am slightly less careful on; I've only had a recent interest in bladed weapons, and have a few nicks and cuts about me.

As much as i appreciate your concern, Andy, for my handling of my weapons, rest assured, I know what im doing. I've been conceal, and on occasion open carrying a loaded handgun on my person with "one in the barrel" and the hammer down for five years.

PS: Odin- thats the idea, which is why its my preferred photo op with new weapons. "Down the barrel, one in the chamber"

Why is errbody pickin on mXm's official armorer? Although Marine Corps gun safety does include "Keep your finger straight and off the trigger until you intend to shoot" in its core rules, I trust Cobby knows what he is doin, and definitely want him to continue sharing his weapon purchases as I find them interesting.

Thanks for sharing Cobby, appreciated the Laura Croft-ish pic of the wife with her new "toy"! Maybe the next one can have her holdin both the Bulls?
