[mXm] andy19 Posted June 3, 2011 Author Report Share Posted June 3, 2011 More info on Battlefield 3: "Operation Métro" will be the multiplayer map available on the show floor at the LA Convention center at E3 next week and will highlight several new features in the multiplayer component: going prone; being able to temporarily disable vehicles (as opposed to just disabling them permanently the old-fashioned way with rockets); mountable weapons; "lay down suppressive fire and more." I never got comfortable with the controls for it on the pc. They can make a much better game on the PC I know but its just easier playing it on a console. This will be a great game for sure, but EA's promotional team swears everything is the best thin since sliced bread. I just hope the game isnt to "epic" where you spend 3 minutes running to a battle to get shot and have to do it all over again like some of the maps in Battlefield can be. From what I remember, it was the fastest selling DLC content in the history of PSN. Why on earth did they not capitalize on more DLC packs is beyond me. 1943 and even Vietnam had great maps to play. I loved all the maps and it was the first time they really introduced the landscaping as camouflage. I traded in my copy of BFBC 2 and never even tried the vietnam DLC on that. I was using a Saitek X52 flight stick which is totally badass. It has a separate base for the throttle and completely customizable. I'm sure with a little practice I'll get right back into it with the ps3 controller. I may even try using the Saitek on the ps3. Its usb and I'm sure I've read online where people are using it. Anyways I have my pre-order in at gamestop so now all I'm waiting on now is October 25th. Four games coming out over the course of 4 weeks. The beta map to be played ad nauseam is "Operation Metro." It pits two sides against each other in Rush Mode, where one team is tasked with destroying several sets of objectives, while the other defends.
