By that time we will have established a strict training regiment and you will need to complete our boot camp before actually getting to play.

You must have me mistaken for a casual gamer like yourself. You should be concerned about once I get on, being able to keep up with my hustle.

Bold - that PC is definitely a powerhouse. Should be top notch for quite a while.

Balz - yes, 64 bit. I have 2 computers, so if I combine them I should be able to have a solid gaming rig. At worst would need to upgrade my GPU.  And I think my hdd is going on one, so it may come to that sooner rather than laterlater.

So I just finished the Bootcamp missions. Pretty solid, I'm liking this.  Need to get used to the controls, and which buttons do what when I either toggle or hold them.

What is evident though is I need more RAM, a better video card, and maybe better CPU.  I can play the standard graphic settings, but it's still only 30FPS and drops more often than should be tolerable.  I think once I amalgamate my two PC's (one's an HTPC hooked up to my TV that doesn't get a ton of use) I should be good to go, minus the GPU.

So I'm doing the single player missions when I can whenever nobody else is on.  Holy shit they're hard.  From what I've experienced, they're very limited ammo and you can't always tell where the shots are coming from. I just got past the first squad of 4 or so guys in the forest before heading up to see my camp overrun, then the second wave of guys I get killed....every....damn....time.  Sometimes I just can't see where the shots are coming from, other times I just can't get enough cover. All I have are trees at that point, no rocks or anything.

Any tips from anyone, or just wait until others are online and we can play co-op?

The second wave on the hill is rough, I was already wounded at that point which made it worse. If I recall correctly I let the NPC go off and do his thing drawing fire, while I broke off to the right a bit and put down the sniper. He's prone in the tall grass, can be tricky to spot. Once I got him and his spotter or medic or whoever was with him, it made picking off the rest of them easier without fear of being sniped in the face every two seconds.

Lets just say .. Already up at 6 and getting on again ... The game is rather hard but not so hard to give up on ... kind of addicting

just made it past the blackhawk down mission , so I am not very far in to it all yet .. but I am getting use to the controls and figuring things out as I go ...

Trying to figure out this uav is frustrating me at this point .... i get the uav pack and such and get the uav in the air but as soon as i do i die or the uav gets distroied before i find the spotter for morters .... had to turn the game off and go to the skate park this morning and take my frustrations out on my board .... getting ready to try this uav thing again here shortly once the wife goes off on her little things she has to do today

Make sure you assemble it in the open. I kept clipping roof overhands at first. You can switch to TPS mode by pressing enter on the number pad for easier flying. Shift is up, z is down. Use WSAD for you basic controls while using the mouse for the more precise adjustments.

The spotter is along the ridgeline with the church. If you're looking at the church, go right and follow the treeline, it's only two guys. (You can toggle thermal to spot them even easier). Be advised there is a friendly team on the opposite ridge. You can tell by their gear who's who.

Once you see him turn on autohover with the options wheel (middle mouse) and then in the options menu scroll down to Take Turret Controls. Paint him and he'll get blown up. Then you're done with the UAV.

I am currently starting my first mission on Adapt, and everything up to this point was a piece of cake. I'm stranded with no gear, no map and a sidearm with 14 rounds. Thats it.

I have been able to successfully launch ..... was airborne for about 10 seconds before the uav was shot out of the sky

The AI is way to accurate ....

AI never took a shot at mine. Any crash was due to pilot error in my game.
