[mXm] srans
I figured we could use a topic on what everyone was driving. Maybe even a "this is whats in my driveway/this is what i want in my driveway"

[mXm] andy19
That's awesome. I love Jeeps, especially when they're lifted a bit with mud tires. I have a 2010 Mazda 3, and a 2000 Monte Carlo SS with a broken brake line. I also have a 1982 Kawasaki KZ440 LTD that currently has an engine in pieces. * My garage was taken over by a woman, hence all the shit everywhere. [mXm] BalzOnYer4Head
[quote name='andy19' timestamp='1310991595' post='1407'] The Jetta's looking good Balz! Thanks. Slowly but surely its coming along. Put some new shoes on it and went a little taller. Along with a fresh alignment, she is riding so much better. I wont lower it till I move. The place I live now doesnt have a driveway conducive to the health of my front bumper. Lowering it will insure its demise. I was thinking about powder coating my twelve hole steelies black chrome, but I have seen them on other mk2's and it looks terrible. So I am thinking about some ROTA RB's (15x8) back (15x7) front, rolling the fenders and some low profiles. Im not gonna slam it to the ground, just give it more of an aggressive stance. Also toying around with either getting euro clear smoked headlights, or a quadround grill. On the outer 7" headlights they make a set of rounds with cross hairs in them, and the inner 5", go with old school euro yellow lights. The current project on hand is running the intercooler. I have it, its a front mount from a SAAB 900S. I plan on moving the battery to the trunk by snagging the factory harness from a junked E30 model BMW (2nd Gen 3 series) as they came factory with it in the trunk. I am also going to delete the washer fluid reservoir (might move it to the back). This will free up a ton of room in the driver side of the engine bay where I can mount a bracket that will hold a small radiator fan that will pull air through the IC when I am sitting at a light or stuck in traffic, and Im gonna put a small louver insert in the hood, to scoop air directly down into the intercooler when drivin around. Also it will look bad ass. Subtle bad ass. This will achieve lower intake temps on the engine charge coming from the turbo, give me about 5-10 more HP, and lower the exhaust engine temps. It still wont be fast.

The first thing that comes to mind when I think of that look is the oldschool Renault R5 Turbo. It's amazing what moving a couple things around will do. A battery and washer fluid resevoir and you'll have a shit ton more room to work under the hood. More companies should do that. [mXm] BalzOnYer4Head
Not to mention moving something as heavy as a battery, helps balance the weight of the car. Which of course is good for handling purposes. MMMM R5. One of my fav Group B Rally cars of all time!
[mXm] gordy
Last summer, almost a year ago, my integra blew up after driving though a monstrous rain puddle (i think it hydro-locked the engine and threw a rod in the process). Luckily my insurance covered it,"flood damage" and gave me some money to get a new car. As sad as it was to get rid of the car i had driven for 7 years i guess it was time to move on. So now i am driving a 2004 350z, which i enjoy greatly.

[mXm] andy19
I acquired a 1985 Honda Shadow 500 from a friend who couldn't take it with him when he moved. I'll post some pictures later this month when the weather is nicer and I can get out and wash it.
[mXm] gordy
Sad news I decided to sell my 350z about 2 months ago due to moving to asheville and needed something i could drive in the snow. So I bought a 2010 infiniti 37g X (awd) 4 door.

[mXm] andy19
That's definitely a nice ride! Isn't the G35/37 the North American version of the Skyline? I always saw it on Forza/GT and thought it's identical. A little update on myself, we sold the disaster that ended up being the 2000 Monte Carlo SS and got a 2008 Ford Edge. I also sold my ol 1982 Kawasaki KZ440 LTD - my first bike. I miss the bike already, such a fun little bike to ride around on, however small it was for my oversize body haha. So the lineup now consists of: 2010 Mazda 3 (100,000 miles on it now) 2008 Ford Edge 1985 Honda Shadow VT500C
[mXm] gordy
Thank you both. Yes Andy I think that the g37 is the skyline everywhere else in the world. I think of the skyline as the r34 or gt-r.

The only real Skylines are the ones with a GT-S or GTR badge on them as well.
Induced_Horizon
This is my Lil Ride ... Running 1300w of Kick ass Rock !! Good Gas Mileage to boot . Ya it doesn't seem like much of a car but a hatchback style of car has always been my choice as the best for stereos . Being I am a stereo Junkie it is obvious my choice of ride .. I dont know whats under the hood .. really don't care .. lol .. not in to street performance . I had the hood up once to change a burnt out headlight . otherwise it goes to the shop for its oil changes .. Battery is in the back of the car with the spare tire . that is where I do all my work with a car .. it is under my 2 12' subs in the back . Also where 2 of 3 Amps are Located . First I have JL Audio 600x1 pushing my 2 12 Alpine Subs in the back Lower deck (better than Entry Level.. but not Pro Models) Then I have a 300x2 Alpine Pushing my 10" Low Mids in the back Upper deck Then I have an Alpine 400x4 Pushing my four 6 1/4" JL Audio door Speakers (Front Doors Coax with tweets and back doors Single cone) Alpine Head Unit to finish with it all ... [mXm] gordy
That seems like it may produce a little bit of bass. I used to have a sub in my other cars i miss them sometimes, just not the same listening to music now.
Induced_Horizon
It does get the mirrors moving . but the Bass is not as overpowering as ya think . 700 watts are pure Midrange and I have the Sub's turned down a bit . Rock Music really sux with overpowered bass . I dont think I have ever "Not" had some kind of system in a car I have been buying car stereo equipment before I could even drive . Bought my first head unit when I was 15 . Had it in my brothers car until I got my first car . I moved my system from car to car and or truck every time I got a new vehicle . if something Blew , I would replace it with something bigger and better . Had to downsize once when I got a truck and started building back up when I got a Mini Van . I might have had 2 or 3 cars at one point , but I would only put my system in one vehicle . never had 2 cars with systems . That might change soon though . My wife is now wanting a little bit more in her car . she doesn't want to go more the 500w or as big of speakers as I have , so I might build my stereo up a bit more and put some of my old equipment in her car . She also has an HHR , a red one . So it wouldn't be hard for me to work on . But back to the point , I cant ever remember not having some kind of system in my main car .
