Back in Mortal Kombat II there was apparently a glitch that changed Kitana's outfit to red from time to time. Well it appears that the creators of Mortal Kombat 9 have taken that into account and given us Skarlet, the woman made of blood. They do a good job of combining sex and blood with this scantily clad killing machine, she's absolutely brutal. Kotaku described her fights the best by saying "She's quick and brutal with the odd habit of covering both her and her opponent's head-to-toe with vital fluids by the end of a match..." Don't get too excited thinking you'll get to play with Skarlet for free though! She's coming to MK9 as DLC along with a few other characters.
