[mXm] kotaco Posted October 3, 2010 Report Share Posted October 3, 2010 The gameplay is designed to be realistic, and to this end EA has hired several consultants from the United States military. Typical in-game objectives are expected to be similar to those issued in real life such as raiding terrorist hideouts, hostage rescues and undercover operations. The single player is set to include drivable vehicles such as helicopters, jeeps, and quad bikes. The game will feature a single-player campaign that takes place in 2002, in which the player will control multiple characters from both the “Tier 1” and “Big Military” perspectives. The storyline will follow several "Tier One Operators" working under the National Command Authority in Afghanistan during Operation Enduring Freedom. Players will also play as a US Army Ranger and an Apache helicopter gunner, fighting on a larger scale than the "Tier 1 Ops" campaign, as players will then only be a small part of the "war machine". It plays like a slightly slower version of Call of Duty with the Battlefield destructible environments... I probably see myself playing this more than COD since I am a big fan of DICE's online games. What irks me about this game is they are making such a huge deal over the online play as taliban *now changed to Opposing Force*. I don't see a huge problem playing as Taliban, we played as Iraqi looking Insurgents in all the Socom series and it wasn't a big deal. Thought I was lucky to get down here, its a special duty for Air Force. 3 year controlled tour with no chance of being deployed is nice. They were going to send me to Afghanistan last Nov but I snagged these orders early Aug. Pissed them off but made the wife happy, not too mention our daughter Sydney was only 3 months at the time. The only downer is the job, its 12 hr solo shifts *every other weekend off* answering trouble calls for every computer system or radio equipment you could think of. I am not very customer service oriented, I like fixing stuff but not listening to the whining. Sidenote: Kmart, yes still in business is offering a $25 gaming coupon if you score this game this week *12-16 Oct*! Missing buildings, no floor, sun in the middle of the courtyard and ten feet off the ground, enemies spawn right in front of you in bunches. I did notice from the video you had the game on, Cliff Lee owned! I finally get to see my Rangers make the playoffs and win a series...
