Need For Speed: Most Wanted

A few of us in mXm spent several hours playing Burnout Paradise online and had a blast doing so. The spiritual successor to Need for Speed Most Wanted on the Ps2 is being remade by the same team that made Burnout Paradise.

I expect this to be an open world romp much like we had with Burnout Paradise so this will be a day 1 purchase for me.

Please put this on your gaming radar since this will be another great online adventure for mXm.

Check out this trailer!

I do. Its a blast. I havent played online yet, but the single player is effing great. They have really streamlined the fun. No sitting around in endless menus while you upgrade your car/choose your car/repair your car. Everything is on the fly with "Easy drive". Realize you are in a race that needs dirt tires? Swap the tires out while in the race!

The AI is pretty good, certainly not push overs, and the tracks are INSANE. Lots of jumps that in real life would flatten your car and spine, but in video game land it just puts a stupid grin on your face as you mash the Nitrous button. Each car has its own set of races and are tiered difficulty wise in succession with the upgrades you unlock with each race.

I will look forward to the online shenanigans that will ensue once more mXmbers show up. Also, the soundtrack is great! Lots of awesome driving songs, and stuff for everyone's taste.

Awesome to hear! I mean Burnout Paradise was great even still and that game is 6 years old.
I just checked Amazon and my shipment is an hour away so I will be getting it today!

Truthfully to all mXm members. This is a great online multplayer game just as much as the shooters. A Must Buy like Burnout Paradise was.

See you online!

@Unit So far, I haven't discovered a Cop Mode. So far just been running from them.

They conveniently like to show up on the last lap of a race, adding more mayhem to the fray as you try to get across the finish line. I do like that if you just finished an event, didnt place first and wanna run it again, you can just use Easydrive to restart the event.

In the old Most Wanted, you couldn't do jack shit until you either got busted or ditched the coppers. Which would really suck because you would end up on a 20 minute cop chase and drive half way across the friggen map to do it, and then have to drive back to the event to start it again.

mXm, please dont forget to ask Santa for a copy of NFS:MW!

So far I think Balz, Fallguy, and myself have this. This game is amazing just like Burnout Paradise was but more streamlined with real cars.

This needs to be in your heavy rotation with your game of choice.

For me it will be BlackOps II and NFS:MW, with some ACIII mixed in there... damn I wish I had more time! Are you hearing me Borderlands 2?

Great to ba a gamer right now

O!

Ther Terminal Velocity pack came out and has a large airport with massive jumps much like the Quarry in Burnout Paradise along with some other DLC packs. Sony just gave me $10.00 free to use in the store so I plan on picking this up. This game got buried among the many triple A titles when it released and I feel I never gave the game its due like I did with Burnout Paradise. I know Balz plays this a lot, but I would love to see some other mXm pick it up since its a friggin great racing game.
