Sorry for the bad links but for some reason I cant get them to imbed. Go to www.gametrailers.com and look up Drive Club. It could be the SOCOM of racing on a social level. Evolution Studios are the team behind the Motorstorm games but they have had this concept for quite a while now as you will see in the stream video. Enjoy and tell me what you think? Definitely looks like a GT killer!

So I got to thinking about how H-Hour won't be a launch title, and we should look into some games we can enjoy as a clan at launch, and started looking up more info on this.

It seems as though this will be a free game to all PS+ subscribers at the launch of PS4. That is awesome! I don't know if this was common knowledge or anything but I just found this out.

There's also more gameplay footage (offscreen).

I saw that and its not a good sign. Evolution studios puts out quality racing games as they created the Motorstorm series which I love very much. This is their first racing game more on the serious side but its baffling how this far into the development cycle to they come to a point where they need to scrap a lot of it.

I played online for the first time last night and was very impressed with how smooth and fluid the game was. I had a blast with this online.

I feel really bad for Evolution Studios because they are a quality studio that was plagued by another bad launch. If you remember, Motorstorm Apocolypse was delayed because of the 2011 Tsunami (they had a Tsunami level that caused a delay in the game due to the tragedy in Japan) and then were struck with the PS3 outage for a month from the hackers.

They cant catch a break, but from what I experienced last night, this game is almost where it should be from their original vision. I hope with the release of the free version, it will introduce many timid gamers into giving this game a shot. Its a good racing game that needs to catch a break.

These studios are often now plagued by these launchday problems and end up needing to recover. Its a sort of cart before the horse instance in my opinion. They have a great game that needs more time in the alpha/beta saddle, but the demand to make money almost guarantees they have to push early. Again, I am not an industry professional, but this is a trend I feel I often see.

Spot on BOLD, and honestly, its usually SONY pushing the release of these games. This game was already delayed a year and must have had a hard final deadline of "release or else" as it was supposed to be a launch title. Same thing with SOCOM Confrontation. That game was WAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAY broken at release. Pressure from the publishers usually has to do with Stockholder investment pressures etc.

On another note. the weather effects update to the game will be added today.
