I got home and just got a my beta code and am excited to test it out. I love MMOs as much as shooters but it's been a few years since I have played one. I'm happy I can play it on PS3 since I don't have a gaming computer anymore. The games that I have played before were Vanguard Saga of Heros, FFXI, EQ 2 and EQOA. I never got into Final Fantasy games as I am not a fan of Anime style stuff or the games with the Japanese feel. How is the game feeling though? Curious to hear at least. I know Final Fantasy VII was like the benchmark but I have no clue after that as there are so many games and spinoffs. What is your favorite? [mXm] BOLD Edition Posted April 16, 2014 Report Share Posted April 16, 2014 Resurrecting this thread as I am a few keystrokes away from purchasing for the PS4. The good news is that I can play with adventurers on PS3 if that is the system they roll with. I'm excited about this since DCUO didn't really fulfill my MMO needs the way I needed to (I played it solid for 2 years); and it is too late for me to get into WoW as a positive gaming experience (experienced players are leveling up toons so fast/hard, that they aren't taking time to NOT blow through dungeon instances). I've been focusing my time on Golf right now and my girlfriend. But I am missing some gaming action for sure. I still haven't bought a PS4 yet either. Maybe I'll log on this week sometime and play something heh. My understanding is that PC/PS3/PS4 players can congregate cross-platform. Do you remember which server/world houses your toon? I am happy to setup a character there and run some instances with you when I get it up to speed. I've sent you a PSN invite in the meantime, man. I may have to setup another toon; apparently my cousin is part of this large house on Leviathan called Edge of Eorzea that we are now both a part of. Will look to create another toon on Lamia in the near future. I am really impressed how much this feels/plays like the experience I had on WoW (albeit limited at the time). Really pushing the console MMO for playability and I like it. My only setback is the text chatting, which I think I can solve with a BT keyboard. [mXm] BOLD Edition Posted July 23, 2014 Report Share Posted July 23, 2014 Matt, I'm thinking about moving to Lamia server from Leviathan; I figure since mXm has a presence there (even if it is you), it would be solid to know someone on the grid. Do you find yourself there occasionally still? My pugilist is only lvl 10 and I haven't been grinding hard at all. In fact, every time I play it is like relearning the system,so I am looking for motivation to get my weight up some. Is that something you could help with? For instance, it is not even clear to me which instances are story and which are side missions. I abandoned the series when I couldn't find a good group to regularly run with. Word on the street is that you are a fantastic player; I would almost buy the game just to watch you in action! But I also just checked out that Destiny game on their website. looks neat. i had no idea it was a shooter heh. Maybe I will try to download the beta this week on the Ps3 and give it a try.
