[mXm] kotaco Posted July 28, 2013 Report Share Posted July 28, 2013 SOCOM Control In 2004 Clan mXm became affiliated / sort of sponsored (although we never did get a controller) by SOCOM Control. Now SOCOM Control was this little company ran by 2 guys out of their garage. What they did was modify PS2 controllers to add extra buttons down onto the handle to supplement the L2 & R2 buttons. This allowed easy communication and solved an issue that resulted in some heavy thumbed players bumping buttons and causing relaods or other things happening in a firefight. Later on they also added custom skins and a system that allowed your mic chatter to be heard through speakers as well. mXm hosted 1 or 2 "SOCOMCONTROL Bashes" in which we met up with the guys behind the control modding and played some rounds, mXm style, having loads of fun.
