Kind of Quiet

Everyone seems to be off doing other things .
Alot quieter then I have ever seen it here .. Though I have not been here on this site long ...

What is everyone doing and or up to while not gaming and or visiting the site .

Myself , I have been working on a few side projects for work .. but I still try to get on the game for about 2 or 3 hours on the weekends ...
I build Shuffleboards for the most part now . The guy I work for is also a trim carpenter but for work when we get slow , we do Hudson
Shuffleboards . I am mainly on the Shuffleboard crew in the shop , but I do go out to a trim job now and then . My side project is
building a Database system to help keep purchase orders organised and maintain a date log of certain stages of construction .
it helps set up lumber orders for creating and emails Hudsons Shuffleboard with tracking information for shipments .

Anyway .. that has been taking up a lot of my time these last 2 weekends ..
What are you all spending your weekends doing (hopefully not working like I am )

This place will ebb and flow with life events and gaming events being the main catalysts.

Usually on the weekends I have some sort of house chore to do, especially in the summer here in FL where its the rainy season. The Foliage and I are constantly at war. At night if I dont have to work on Saturday, sometimes even if I do, and she is at work, I game it up. When she is off I try to spend some QT with her.

I also take care of my chickens, I have a small flock of five "egg layers". I clean their coop, water and food bowls, fresh bedding.

With my little Jetta now past 200 thousand on the clock, there is always something that needs replaced, or upgraded. In the summer though I usually just do whats needed as its too friggen hot for stuff I want to do.

Of course there is the customary fucking off on the internets.

Also, masturbation A LOT of masturbation.

I coach baseball in the Summer and then going into the fall I coach 13U Football (7th-8th graders) so Monday, Wednesday, and Thursday I am at the football fields with games on Saturdays. I am the offensive coordinator. On Tuesdays and Thursdays I am taking my girls to field hockey practice so every night I am busy.

Friday nights are my only "off" nights but usually my youngest Lily (21 months) keeps me away from my PS3. That is why you mainly see me playing my PS VITA online due to multi-tasking. (Killzone Mercenary out today on VITA and is awesome!)

I am currently converting my garage into a new 24x24 rec room where my PS4 will live. Getting a 65inch TV and building a custom wall and sound system just for that with a 9x9 ft sectional couch for ultimate gaming indulgence. I am also laying tile in there for a bar/kitchen area so a part of the room you can eat and drink while watching sports and playing video games… (Induced horizon) it is crazy that you build shuffleboards as I would be interested in buying one for my rec room if you are selling them. We can talk. ill post pictures once I have it completed in the next 3 to 4 weeks.

I also play guitar and write music in my free time since I am a retired Chicago musician from the band Slipstream. My wife for my 40th birthday got me a new Gibson Hummingbird electric acoustic so I am playing the shit out of that. (INDUCED I noticed I am only 9 days older than you! August 9th 1973).

I pretty much am a homebody as I have everything I need at home. Awesome wife, 4 kids, and good friends in the neighborhood. I just moved my PS3 into my bedroom in hopes that I can get online to play with you guys more frequently as after my wife falls asleep I can fire it up with my gaming headphones. She wakes up early so its not a problem to game after 9pm or so.

I live on the Chesapeake Bay in Maryland so I am always eating seafood or sitting at a dock bar. Eventually when my youngest daughter is older, I will start playing out live again doing acoustic sets.

Looking forward to getting back into gaming hardcore when the ps4 and my rec room is done!

Odin~

My birthday is the 20 so actually you are 11 days older . Just sayin lol .. I still tell my children I am 29 (this year for the 12th time) or 29 with a remainder of 12
For those saying the math is off .. Keep in mind you have to count 29 as one as well because that was one of the years I was 29 ..... you have to start
your count from 28.

Based on your description of the size of your couch , a 9 to 12 foot shuffleboard would be a good size for you in your game room . (a lot of people place them behind couches )
a full size Shuffleboard (22 foot) would be a bit too big for a 24 foot rec room . We make them all sizes from 9 to 22 foot . 14 and 16 foot
seems to be the most common . I personally don't sell . I mainly build the playing surfaces but I do work on some of the cradles as well .
We build them for an outfit out of California (I live in Missouri) but we ship everywhere . we have even sent some overseas to Australia .
You can see the styles we build at http://www.hudsonshuffleboards.com/shuffleboards.html .

I lived in NJ on the Chesapeake Bay for 2 years ... On a Ship in the Navy ... Earl NY to be exact ... Was able to see the Statue of Liberty with
the Big Eyes on the ship . NY was just on the other side of the bay . If I wasn't married at the time I would probably have been in the Navy Longer
but she was missing Missouri so I got out to take her back home . Got in to Framing Construction building Homes to Hotels to Nursing Homes and so on .
did that for 18 years but Last year with the Major Heat and no rain (on top of the economy) it pushed me over the edge and I just had to get a new job .
we happened to be in between jobs from framing and I ended up helping out with a big Christmas rush on Shuffleboards and I asked them if they were hiring
which leads me to where I am now . Get to work in an Air conditioned shop (heated as well) and don't suffer from sunburns at the beginning of every
summer .. lol ...

As far as my Gaming setup .. I have a 14x12 room in the basement with my Computer/Gaming set up .
A lot of leftover lumber from framing jobs built my desk and all , but now that I have access to better wood
(maple and poplar , oak and mahogany) . I plan to trim my desk frame out to look a bit better .

That is my PS3 Gaming soon to be PS4 / Website Development Corner . The xbox is upstairs and the Wii is in the bedroom
so the wife can do exercises ..lol .. Whatever works I guess ..

Continuation ...

Laptop on the Left is the Facebook and Internet Texting computer .
the Laptop on the right is the Virus Computer . That is the computer I use to go to Unknown website before I use my main computer .
I also use it to google search Websites to learn website Development , While I read the information on that computer I can test it on the
main computer in the center . Then my TV on the top for gaming and or watching the news while working on websites ..

Oh this isn't quiet, it's nothing compared to our glory days, but quiet was 2006-2008 era, I think there was 3 of us visiting the site about once a month at one point.

I just relocated to the Central Ohio area near Dayton from the Cleveland area after finishing my Associate of Science degree. Currently looking for work to keep my Paramedic certification up and of course make money. Also continuing work towards my Bachelors degree (also to make money) taking a couple classes a semester at Wright State University as well. They don't take up too much time, 1 hour a day 5 days a week in the AM, but I am the polar opposite of a morning person so it sucks in that regard.

Other than that just working on my websites including this one, some side projects/hobbies involving web/motion graphics, watching alot of Hulu, cooking a lot and playing games whenever people are around. Going to try and get back into decent shape here this winter too, my last job private ambulance job wrecked havoc on my body with 24 hour shifts (most of the time literal 24 hour shifts, no sleep) and constant fast food.

To hell with all that lol .. na .. I can understand it though . my early 20's I would work 14 hour days in construction . (not no 24 hour shifts though ... )
Worked out of town a lot in my 20'S so it was either work or sit in a motel with a lot of drunks ... Though I was getting ahead that way .. but ya don't ...
Started having a better life when I quit all the long days and stayed in town .

I know the feeling of Dead Forums . I use to start Random topics (like this one) just to see if I could get anyone interested in typing ...

Sometimes it worked . a lot of times it didn't .

Well since we're talking about what we're up to these days...
Nothing really.
Work, brewing beer (takes an entire evening if I do it after work), shooting (military surplus competition coming up this Saturday, can't wait, even though I'm going in handicapped with an inferior rifle than most other people), and taking care of the family. That's all really.
I haven't been online in a while because I usually get on weekends, but I've been camping with friends and family for the past few weekends. Love cooking on an open flame, everything tastes so much better.

it was all on Socom and Call Of Duty MW2 I think .. Could have been black ops 1 .. Can't really remember
which map was which . Call of Duty is all the same thing just different maps ...
Why COD doesn't just keep one game and keep adding maps .. would save them a lot of money ..

I kept trying to get some old Clan members together to try and make a movie or something .
People would volunteer but then back out at the last min .
so the only video I could ever get was of myself which worked for the Skate video there .
Was able to run down the Frost Fire ramp there backwards in one of my games .
and Ever since I played socom Confrontation I always seen that rolled up metal
out side of that spawn (in the first clip . ) and actually wished I could skate it personally .
so the next best thing was to animate a gif and do it digitally .. lol ...
The reason I did the one in Frost Fire was in dedication to an old friend that passed
away . This is not the First "What you dont see in Socom" type of video .
the first one I made spawned the idea of a skater on the Frost Fire rail by my friend .
I kept telling him I was going to get it done , but he passed away before I had time to mess with it .

Once I seen the map in Confrontation and after SKATE 3 came out , I got a wild hair
to make it happen .. He just wanted to see a 50-50 grind down the rail .. but I bumped it up
to a kickflip Back lipslide . Was hard to see the character at that angle with a 50-50 grind .

Anywho . Once I get my site finished with American Domination and a few other events I
hope to have time for some more Video Manipulations . I just need to get an HD capture device .
That way I can use still play the game in HD . right now I have to use the s-vid cables to capture
video . it is ok for game play but I seem to play a lot worse .

Maybe one of these days I could get some of you to help with a little video . Would be awesome to
have a few people playing roles in a little event or film .

this was my very first "What You don't see in socom "

Very Poor Quality . Did most of my recording with a handheld camera
for this one . It was before I bought my capture device .
Some of the better quality video came from a friend . Like where the Socom
guys where roasting the marshmallows over the fire .. so on and so forth .
