Need for Speed: Hot Pursuit DEMO is out!

I just played the demo to Need for Speed and looks promising. Even though it feels like the sequel to Burnout Paradise that necessarily isnt a bad thing. Check it out in the PSN store and tell me what you think. This could be a good alternative to GT5 for those looking for good racing fun mixed with cop chases and pursuits.

Ill be picking this one up as well...

Thanks for the scoop Odin, firin up the PS3 now. However, if it plays like Bunout, than it is not an alternative to GT5. Sorry mang, but you cant compare a sim like GT to any arcade racer.

When I say alternative I dont mean as a replacement, I mean as a change of pace from the realistic intensity of GT5. Ill be playing both.

Played the demo and it may just be the right distraction till GT5. Holy shit it was fun and I really like that you have a cop career as well as a race, plus 8 people online!

I really enjoyed taking down racers as a cop, I thought that was fun! I will probably buy this one

Played the demo a bit more last night and saw Ballz playing also. I REALLY dig how it automatically ranks your time against your friends. Thats cool. Burnout did this but not in this fashion. You can feel the social media integration with this. I just saw EA just signed a big deal with facebook. In the future you are going to see more social integration in games.

Criterion always puts out a premier product. If the Burnout series is any indication, then Need for Speed needs to be in your library. It has its place along side of GT5.

I really like how it autologs your progress and automatically ranks you against your friends.

Which btw I do sit at the top of. Even in the Demo I was compelled to beat hawgtied's time. I dunno if hes on your list but hes on mine. I see Odin behind me on the race list.

However, as fun as it is, once GT5 comes out.... well, "there can be only one."
