[mXm] kotaco
Call of Duty's sensational review streak starting to end? Looks pretty much poor to average reviews with a bunch this time around, there's some in the "good" ranking, but only 2 "greats" and 1 of those is IGN, and they aren't much of a reliable / honest reviewer in the first place. The ones I read feel it's a poor follower to Black Ops II and feels pretty rehashed. Induced_Horizon
Any time a game developer adds new things the ratings either drop or go through the roof . Though the game play might not have changed , the implementation of Clan involvement most likely has been poorly done and probably not used much if I had to guess . I have yet to play the game but I am sure it is going to be just another COD with a dog added this time Only reason I got the game was to have something to do off and on while waiting for other shooter titles to come out on the PS4
[mXm] BalzOnYer4Head
Wow it really is getting crappy ratings from those not swayed by advertising dollars. Nice post Kotaco. Think that solidifies which shooter I am going with at launch.

Most actually touch on it being a step backwards in regards to innovation and added features compared to Black Ops II. Others feel it isn't a great start for COD as a next-gen game. I'll reread through the bottom ones again to see. [mXm] 404 Not Found
At the end of the day, all that matters is "is it fun for you" I think its the best online multiplayer in the series. I also feel the 2nd tier websites that give it a 5/10 are looking for traffic. You do know on metacritic, the way to get attention and separate yourselves from the 8/10 9/10 is to dog it so people read why they think its so bad. Its a cheap way to raise your traffic to sell more ads. Oldest trick in the book. So they copy and pasted a scene out of the single player. Who buys this game for single player anyway?!? BTW, who reserved the COD Ghosts mXm tag? If you guys arent going to play it, at least release it so those of us who do can set it up. weathermatt, myself, and whoever else can utilize it. You may enjoy the game and that is fine, this is just the other side of that fence. My typical issues carry over with the franchises as always and having it be one of the main games of this clan does kill me inside a bit, but this time around the advertising dollars haven't padded the majority of reviews and I think that's a good thing. I don't feel those websites that gave it a poor review were doing so solely for clicks, in fact I wouldn't even call some of those site "second tier" sites, as that implies that IGN is top tier and they have their scores laid out before they even get the review copies based on marketing and PR, which makes me trust the little guys over them. Polygon and Destructoid for example do pretty darn good as far as unique visits and ad impressions from what I understand. In the end I think that following a game like Black Ops II that had really good reviews and gameplay and innovation, a good portion of people are genuinely disappointed with this one, that's just a pretty obvious thing. Does that make it a sub par game? No not necessarily, but for a "next-gen" title people expect it to be better. Perhaps the PS3 version was watered down, but that doesn't change the stuff we're seeing in PC. As for the copy/paste, to me it's not a major deal, but it does show a bit of laziness as far writing and execution for a game that is meant to be a next-gen title with the brand power and money the company has, along with other things like their poor resolution textures and graphics and lighting, etc. But boy do they have some good Fish AI! (lol) I would also say that if they aren't going to include a worthy singe player experience and really put their time into it, then why bother including it? There are plenty of people who enjoy playing games for their single player, (For the majority of COD games I put more time into SP than online) I think it's a pretty crappy move to say screw you guys were just throwing this in there and it may be linear crap, but who cares, go play online. But that's just me (and this guy): http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qB7eqwKYdy4 As for the tags: https://elite.callofduty.com/connect/clan/view/141488 exists and was carried over from MW3, whether it has a clan tag reserved I don't know, I wasn't aware they were doing unique tags this time around, because there are a bunch of other MXMs and MxMs out there that could have it. Will look into it. All in all I wouldn't take anything said here personally, its not meant to be taken that way, just sharing of info and opinions. [mXm] BalzOnYer4Head
After watching those videos, it appears Andy bought the right game. I am gonna hold on the COD at launch and go with NFS. Now off to see some BF4 footage...

[mXm] andy19
At the end of the day, all that matters is "is it fun for you" This is key right here. 100% of reviewers could shit all over the game, but if you have fun playing it what does it matter? 404 Not Found
[mXm] 404 Not Found
Its also about lifestyle... in that totally slanted and fanboy review he says COD is for casual gamers. I guess I fall into that category. As much as it kills me not to have the time I used to, I simply cant game for hours like I once did. Here is a link to a realistic, non biased review of COD Ghost that I agree with. Its spot on as this guy was a SOCOM player back in the day. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6gxbt4njBVk&feature=c4-overview&list=UUgpl7t70RreiZ662sJ7wrzg
